Another reason we may do this with the actual footage is that we wanted the light to only show the artist, with a completely black background, which we can achieve by making the footage darker.

Testing Our Colour Changing on the Run Through
After doing the run through, we thought that we may need to alter the colour of our footage to make it darker. In the original footage, despite us turning the main lights off, using the film lights, it came out too bright and you could see the creases in the curtain. As a result, we decided that we would test a colour change and see what happened.
